Once upon a time journalism

Giornali vari By simply reading a newspaper or watching a newscast, we can give an account of how the world of journalism is strongly affected by a sort of "parallel political", or rather from a position of publishing impure. A phenomenon which has led in the past, our national newspapers in the hands of a few industrialists, the only ones able to settle the debts of the various newspapers but used them to achieve their goals in politics. This scenario brings Italian journalists away from the dominant model of Anglo-Saxon journalism concentrated on facts and not comment on the statements of various politicians. The profession of journalism becomes, in this sense, the means of propaganda and representatives of different political parties. A key example of this strange inclination information of our dear journalism was certainly the embarrassing confrontation Berlusconi-Veltroni went on air on Friday Matrix April 11. Embarrassing because of total lack of comparison between the two candidates, a comparison that should be salt and guarantee of our democracy, as happens in advanced democracies like the United States. It is unclear at this point, as our journalism becomes a kind of filter that allows the policy to conceal the vast majority of the public their shortcomings and errors. So we have to have newspapers as "Il Manifesto" or the TV news as TG4, which are openly aligned and transmit information office of political content but devoid of any spirit of criticism and truth. Not only are the examples listed above to denote the almost total absence of information neutral and therefore closer to the truth, but the whole panorama of national newspapers seem involved in this vicious circle between political interests and national press, which is increasingly the leaflet political propaganda. In a country like ours, where the information is seen as a right to inform of which are journalists, rather than a right to be informed. This right should be guaranteed in terms of diversity for all and not only involve a particular task or aspect of the journalistic profession. I conclude with the utmost conviction, that the idea of freer news reporting lies in the new frontier of online journalism where you can find that type of news that are not contingent upon political Italian and the huge cost of printing that need support large print magazines and television in Italy.
