Polish simple barracks were converted into a monstrous death factory installations with gas chambers and crematoria, using the latest techniques. The history of man was marked by shame and dall'indignazione. In 1941 Himmler to Auschwitz was an extermination camp and central concentration of the Third Reich, who was then added (some time after) the establishment of two other camps at Birkenau and Monowitz. For only the construction of the fields thousands of prisoners died, in 1942 began to Birkenau selections for the gas chambers, designed shortly after it more and more plants ampli killing. He started to mass murder.
In all that pain (of which the descriptions and evidence are known), in all those inhuman atrocities, many, retracing memories of the ordeal, focuses sull'intima uncertainty that accompanied the jew after that fatal moment. As an obsessive thoughts and painful, like a needle on the skin glowing naked, doubt the Silence of God has exploded. It is constantly said: "Where was God when they were activated by the Nazi extermination camps?" Question lawful, legitimate, even the most fervent of believers, including one who gnash teeth that have not felt so close. Anger, hopelessness, powerlessness accompanied then (and even today) that martellante and lacerante question at a time when the blood of thousands of innocent stained the pages of the book of history of man.

A small window has been sought by which we can see the limits of the jail where the question was for decades scaraventato to find a window from which you can glimpse a piece of heaven. Some one has glimpsed the window and has indicated the presence.

The question "where was man?" Then replace the other made for so long, and even replacing other questions of a theological nature.
